Is it all about winning?

The recent 10th Sarawak state election reflected that BN is still in control as the curtain falls on Saturday. I wanted to post this yesterday but was rather reluctant to do so...Just to share a few thoughts of mine although I'm not really well versed at politics.

True enough , BN came out as run-away winners in the election while the opposition managed to stage a stronger fight this time round.Yet , the common question still surfaces. Will BN fulfill their promises to bring development to the state continuously throughout the whole term or rather another episode of 'election fever' - where they only 'realize' the needs of the rakyat.

Since I'm no Sarawakian to be eligible to provide feedback , I will rather pen my thoughts about the government. The 2 system government is Malaysia is actually OK and very practical. However, the mentalities of the politicians namely the Barisan people need to be rectified. Serving the people , or serving their own people-and you know what i mean. The difference is really contrasting, certainly.

Malaysian politicians are kinda weird (some of them) when they speak out, mind it to be in the parliament or the media. It just reminds me of children quarreling over petty petty issues . There are times when I ponder...are they really serving the rakyat or rather stand for the election just for the sake of winning. After winning , their commitments marks the full stop.
Will there be a time where the elected representatives work for the welfare and interests of the rakyat ignoring which party they are from, race and other diversities? I'm sure 9 out of 10 people out there will say don't daydream.True, Malaysia is still not matured enough. As we surge towards mission 2020, these little factors will pose some kind of hindrance towards the nation's success. Perhaps , when Malaysians help Malaysians , not the MCA help chinese stuff , we will be much better , at least .

*wrote this out of boredom. Please provide critics when necessary...haha
